About the CREATORS

 Chartis Media is a passion project to develop a new model of publishing that creates a path for content creators to bring projects from concept to reality.   Tim and I both work full time day jobs, so we have to keep our writing and publishing work to the evenings and weekends.  We are currently working on releasing Tim's EarthBorn Saga Series this Summer, completing the first book of three of a new historical fantasy series that takes place around 600 BCE in the Black Sea region.  While we are striving to be as historically accurate as possible, we are still endeavoring to create a riveting fantasy story. 

  Timothy Manley, Graduate with BA in English from San Francisco State University, and MBA from Western Governors University. Over 20+ Years in the software and gaming business and working on such highly successful franchises such as Star Trek Fleet Command, Game of War, Fantasy NBA Live Mobile, Sims Mobile, PC & Console just to name a few. Timothy is an accomplished Author with 15 Novels published in science fiction and fantasy, with some medieval macabre tossed in here and there. He has spent the last decade on completing his signature work, Earthborn Saga Series, which he plans to publish in 2024. He has a fascination in both the future and the past. He cut his teeth on the likes of Tolkien, Howard, Lovecraft, Heinlein, Dick, Asimov, Bradbury, and Poe. He was a geek long before the internet existed and loved the melding of science, magic and fantastic technologies. Timothy has lived in California, Washington, Ireland currently living in Oregon with his wife and the youngest two of his five kids. Shawn McMichael, Graduate with Communications degree from San Francisco and has his Masters of Education in Social Studies endorsements in History and Geography from Northwest University. Over 25+ years doing marketing for software and games producer.  Shawn has a passion for ancient literature, historical biographies, and historical fiction writers such as Michener, Cornwell, Auel, Gabaldon, and Follett. He is voracious reader and influenced by many fantasy writers such as Andrews, Brooks, Erickson, Feist, Gwynne, Jordan, Orullian, Martin, Sanderson, Shannon, Sullivan and Tolkin. Shawn is passionate about travel and has been to over 30 countries and lives in Washington State with his wife and has two adult children. Shawn and Tim have been friends for over 40 years and have shared a passion for role playing games such as Dungeon & Dragons as well as some home brewed game systems, so we are excited to bring this new collaboration on this new project that blends together our passions and talents.
